English School Boards seem to be able to have creationism debated while maintaining that it isn't science--here's a BBC report mentioning that and noting the Archbishop of Canterbury's dismissal of creationism as a topic for science classes.
I'm increasingly being convinced that we should teach the controversy, the controversy in question being about well-funded and well-organized religious fundamentalists trying to subvert science education. Meanwhile I'm glad that more and more people seem to be getting interested in the question whether ID is good theology--including the Archbishop of Canterbury.
